Today myself and a lively group of passionate MM4 women ,volunteered at the Wyndom Chicago hotel for the Chicago Charity Bridal Expo and Wedding Gown Sale Hosted by an organization called Brides Against Breast Cancer.
Brides Against Breast Cancer contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families. Their outreach and educational efforts Include “Nationwide Tour of Gowns” bridal shows around the country help ensure that people impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need in their battle with cancer.
At this event there were various vendors a slammin, DJ and Dancers ;-) & a wide selection of Wedding gowns donated from Boutiques and Brides or former Brides and then opened to Beautiful Bride to Be's.
The sales are an important fund-raising event for Brides Against Breast Cancer. It was touching to see the lives touched as many of the brides brought their closest friends and family to share in the experience.
The set up was like the hit show "Say yes to the dress" When a bride purchased the dress of her dreams, everyone cheered ,the bells are ringing and a family impacted by cancer has a contribution to wellness and educational services.
As a volunteer, we assisted in registration, raffle ticket sales ( of course I sold a lot cuz that's what I do!) Assisted women with trying on dresses and organizing dresses as well.
This event was a lot of fun and for an awesome cause. Can't wait to do my part and help again. To learn more about Brides Against Breast Cancer, contact Show Manager Kayleen Newman @ knewman@bridesabc.org. She is an AWESOME FUN And Passionate lady.
